Well folks, took delivery this evening of the new ride. Time to start my build thread. Here of some before pictures. The aftermarket parts should start rolling in over the next month or so. So far the list is: Steeda Cold Air Intake, Evolution Performance Custom Aggressive Tune, and Roush Axel Back Exhaust. Of course, window tint is probably the first looks upgrade that gets done very soon. Enjoy the pics, not the best photographer. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Scott, If you can work with any of these for my signature change please feel free. If not, we will be at the Drive in!!

Thanks Matt. Unfortunately, I love the black cars too, but my wife told me it was her or the car. So I figured I better go with the lighter color since I was spending so much time cleaning the vehicle! But seriously, I am normally not a silver fan, but this one is pretty hot!

The 4.6 had its day.........back in the mid to late '90's. lol It was time for ford to move on and they did it right. I dont know how any mustang fan cannot go out and buy a new 5.0 if they can afford it. I thought the Terminator was awesome but now they are making good power without having to add a blower.
I love 2011+ stangs and thats coming from a chevy guy.
Time for you to go LS1 hunting Dave. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Lots of LS1 cars (which was the best bang for the buck) are now getting spanked by the 5.0. Gotta stay true to my GM heritage so......it only took ford 14 years to pass the LS1 that was introduced in '97. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] lol

I have been a true 5.0 fan since day one in the Fox Body cars. This new one is amazing. That oh sh*t moment that I had was with my tuner. I tried tuning it tonight and half-way through the damn thing threw an over voltage error. Then it reset and the car wouldn't start. It said to program back to stock so tried that with no luck. Finally, I let it sit for 30 minutes, went out and restored back to stock and it worked, thank god! So now I am waiting till I get my Evolution Performance tune!

Holly shit I bet you were freaking out. Pretty sure Ford wouldnt warranty a new engine when they see the canned tune stuck in the ECU. lol Glad you were able to pull it off. That would have been bad.
Your face probably looked like burdmans when he got yelled at today. LMAO!

Yea. I walked in the house and she was like "what did you do now!" Luckily, I don't think it actually wrote anything to the ECU. I am really not sure what it did, but I was planning on telling the dealer to come get the damn thing. I would have denied everything lol. :hammer1:

that is an awesome looking car. congrats again. Didn't i say the Coyote 5.0 is a big step up from the previous 4.6? lol.
the HO 302 introduced in 1969 with the Boss 302 1974 the 302 became the largest engine in mustang II with a 4bbl 650cfm 1979 was the introduction of the "Fox Body" which had a nastier 302 and 4bbl carb 1986 the carb was swapped for EFI! giving it a pretty nice boost in power. 1993 was the last year of the Fox Body 5.0 but in 1994-1995 was the introduction of the SN95 body and the "last year of the 5.0" true...ish 1996-1998 continued SN95 Ford introduced the 4.6 non PI engine 1999 was the intro of the SOHC 4.6 2003 Bullitt 2003-2004 Mach 1 3V 4.6 2001 SVT Cobra 4V 2003-2004 SVT Cobra 4V supercharged aka "Terminator" (all cobras came with IRS) 2005 SN97 platform introduced with the 4.6 DOHC 2011 redesigned DOHC 4.6 into the Coyote 5.0. awesome power for only 5 litres
sorry, i was bored lol. not much to do when you get off work at 1am [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Well, last night I was on the phone with SCT and found out for sure that my tuner will work with my car. They guaranteed that it would work and the problem I had was just a fluke. So..... I went down to the ride and flashed it again and this time it worked! :wootwoot: I flashed with a 93 octane strategy tune just to see what the performance would be like. Amazingly, it seems like it made throttle response better and seems a bit peppier. Not sure of what the number would be but I am guessing not much. Now I just need to scrape together the cash for the tint, exhaust, intake and aggressive tune!

I really like the new 5.0's. Only mustang I would own besides a GT series. Your car looks awesome (coming from another chevy fan).

If I got a 5.0 I would buy this exhaust the same day.
I love the new 5.0's though. I hope I get to see yours.

All parts and tune are on the car. Will have to take pictures once my wife gets back from NC with my camera. The exhaust sounds bad ass along with the "cammed" tune. Definitely notice a pretty good jump in the power just from the intake and tune. Really need to hit the dyno to know for sure. Neighbors love me again!

Yea. I actually put the tune on after work on Thursday. Didn't drive the car since I didn't have the air intake. I worked till about 7:30-8:00 on stuff that work had me doing.....and then I said screw it. Took the trouble lights down to the car and worked till they were done. Didn't take too long. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Now with work done and the parts on.... I can play!
