Yep Cam is right, pretty much the same thing the Z06 has. My valves are closed under a certain RPM and then they open once you get on it.

However, I pulled the fuse in mine to make the valves stay open all the time since stock is so quiet. Once my car is done and much much louder I am going to install a switch so I can control the valves all the time. Its called a mild to wild switch.
