| How many of you guys can't stand not having your car to drive because it's in the shop? I'm not talking about the pain caused in the wallet area of the body (although that hurts just as badly). I'm talking about being restless and wanting to just jump behind the wheel and drive...but you can't. Am I the only one that gets this way?
I just thought I'd bring this up because the Crown Victoria is going to the mechanic on Monday for new lower ball joints. It's going to be a rough few days, lol.

| Haha. I go to Hugo's most of the time. Rick, the owner, is my 1st Cousin. He does great work but he is always slammed with FedEx trucks and ambulances, lol. I don't mind waiting a little bit knowing that the job is getting done correctly. | |

The guys at Hugo's are good. We refer people to them from our shop all the time.

| I think my bigger problem is handing my keys over to some young punk at a garage. He doesn't care who I am or how I care about my car. Hence the only places I will take it is where I can stand over their shoulder and keep an eye on them. I am sure it pisses them off, but I get furious when people don't handle my wheels carefully or decide to spin the tires when they are pulling out just because they can. | |

| yep i hate it. a few years ago the mustang went in for some transmission work, and i was maybe 17 at the time, and a kid younger than me hopped in my car and took it out back....i complained to the manager saying that just because the car is older, doesn't mean it should be treated with less respect than someone bringing in their GT500. so i got a discount lol | |

| I agree with not wanting someone else drive your car. When the guy at Meineke was pulling my car into their garage to weld mufflers, I was watching him like a hawk.
It's day 2 without my car. I'm starting to get antsy, lol.

| We had a similar run-in with the Saleen. We brought it down to the dealership to have the front bushings replaced under warranty. They had one of the mechanics take it out for a drive. When he left the dealership he just nailed it and spun in the gravel and tore it up. Naturally, dad and I were pissed. When he came back, as he was handing the keys back the manager said "Your fired, now get the f*ck off my property." The guy raised hell and stormed away. That made it a little better, but still. lol | |

I would have shook that manager's hand, lol. And then handed the bill for fixing the rock chips to the mechanic.

| I've owned my Sky for almost 4 years and my wife has driven it twice. It's better that way. | |

| I've asked my wife to learn to drive the Saleen and she wants no part of it. I'm fine with that. So since I have owned the car, no one has driven it but me. | |
