Engine Oil??

Here is a question for everyone... and I know everyone has an opinion on it, so lets hear it. What oil do you prefer, and what do you think is best? Given most manufactures have a recommended weight... Synthetic or not? What about switching back and fourth? ....... Personally I'm a fan of the Royal Purple line of products.

Mobil 1 for me, in the engine and tranny.

On second thought, I have Mobil 1 in the tranny of the 93MR2 and Red line MTL in the tranny of the 89 SC.

I have always been a castrol GTX synthetic guy.. but thats honestly probably because thats what my dad, and my wife's dad have always ran in their rides.

penn. synthetic and it runs about $90 to change the oil- synthetic is all that your supposed to run in my car- i don't think it makes a big difference if the oil is changed regularly though- but im not a fan of mixing it either- i like to use the same thing over and over if it works- same with cleaning suplies etc.

I generally stick to Mobil 1... have strayed occasionally though.

I havent made it to the first change but there is a Mobil 1 badge on the engine so ill probably go with that.

I have Royal Purple for all my fluids..truck runs great.

Mobile 1 in the vette and advance auto brand (or whatever is cheapest) for the altima.

AMS Oil in the bike and Valvoline full synthetic in the cars.

Just changed the oil first time on the jeep, went with royal purple synthetic.

I have only used two bands in the past. I only use Pennzoil in my Hondas. My old Fiero GT used Castrol GTX. Hadn't have any problems what so ever.
