What was your first car?

This is embarrassing but my first car was a green '95 Ford Escort LX station wagon. Complete with the 1.9L engine that couldnt get me up a hill over 30mph, or over 45 with the AC on [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

That car was complete poop. I worked part time in high school just to afford the repair bills. My only mod in it was a sound system, a windshield graphic, a couple of decals and new hub caps lol.

But it was my first car and I had alot of memories in it. I tried to save it, and fixed it temporarily. There was a stalling problem that no one could figure out where it came from. So I sold it to my ex, who killed it weeks later by adding different fluids the different reservoirs. And instead of flushing it, just let it sit there. It breaks my heart but looking back at it now, my car now is 100x better.

1995 Chevy Monte Carlo Z34. Bought it from the original owner with 85k miles on it. Underside of the car was clean enough
to eat off of. It really was immaculate; not a ding, dent, scratch, stain, or spot of rust anywhere in or on the car.

Potent 3.4 DOHC LQ1 motor; it was a pretty quick car for what it was.
Only mods I did was I painted the interior pieces, LED lights in the
footwells, tinted the taillights, a sound system and custom strut tower bars.

Loved the car to death, but wanted something that handled better and I could work on...the LQ1 is a finicky, high maintenance motor that was crammed into the bay so I couldn't hardly work on it myself.

The first car I had full reign over was this 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis. My great-uncle bought it new. When he died in 1996, my grandfather took it. From there it lived a hard life. One of my aunts used to practically live in it and not take care of it at all. In 2007, I needed a car and my grandfather wanted the Merc gone, so I bought it from him. I drove it from July '07 to January 2010, when the transmission started to give up. It got me through two years of high school and one semester of college. I gave it to my cousin since he needed a car to drive to school in PA. A lot of shenanigans happened with this car. Kaleb can vouch for that, haha. He was either riding shotgun or cruising with me in another car for a lot of them, lol. I still miss it.
