| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Looks to me like they could just pop off the rim in a hard turn. | |

| i think they look good on certain cars.. i could never personally see having them on mine even though it definitely seems like a popular thing in the vw world | |

| Out of all the fads that currently exist, it is my least favorite and it seems on all the national Subaru boards its the "cool" thing to do. Pointless for a DD in my opinion. | |

| this is retarded .... that tire is no where near wide enough for that wheel. the bead protector is meant to go over the lip of the wheel, not be part of the curve in the sidewall [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| I don't know which I dislike more, the stretched tire look of the 80's mud truck wheels. How those things became "cool" I will never know. | |

| Just how do they get the tire to mount like that? How do you get a 6 inch wide tire on a 9 inch wide rim? | |

| Sorry to anyone who has it done, I think it looks stupid. I've seen a couple of them blow on the highway when hitting bumps too. | |

| We had an interesting discussion on the Evolution forum about "flush".
Stock is 18x8.5 +38 with 245/40/18 tires. The edge of the tire sits 24-25mm inside of the wheel well, meaning it's 24-25mm shy of "flush".
18x9.5 +25 would be +24 mm and should sit exactly flush. However, there are guys with 18x10.5+15 and they still think these are not "flush enough". If it's past the fender, it's not flush, it's sticking out. Flush is exactly even.
So basically, even though I know it's not what "hella flush" stands for, I like a flush look, and nothing past that. I have a set of 18x9 +20's on the way :)

| I wish ours were flush on the solstice, but they are close.. and if they were flush, they would hit the hood in bumps. | |

| Alittle stretch isnt that bad. My rims are 18x9.5 and i have 235 tires on them and its alittle stretched. The rims are extreme for my car. Its a mandatory stretch to have them fit. And i had to get my fender rolled.
To get the concave look i needed a et38.
BUT stretched tires are dangerous in the rain. The HELLAFLUSH look dosent need streched tires to happen. Its not dangerous at all.
