PostSubject: New project mustang?   Mon Feb 07, 2011 1:16 am

So i found a 1990 5.0 LX Hatchback for $3500. here is what is listed

i have a 1990 mustang lx 302 with a freshly rebuild borg warner t5 with a hurst t handle short throw shifter, has hooker equal length headers to a bbk h pipe followed by flowmaster, underdrive pullies, new battery, hotchkins suspension, bbk intake, other than that motor is stock with 116k on it, runs great, has a 5 lug conversion kit with brand new brakes all around, good tires, paint is not bad for the year, interior would need some tlc, i have a brand new 10 point jegs cage for it, and another t5 tranny that has a bad main shaft, do not need to sell, would like the extra cash, 3500 obo, or possibly trade for something of equal value

I might have to do this. I would strip everything out that doesn't make it go fast lol

that is my plan. I want the vert to look 5 Stars, and have a hard-top as a balls-to-the-wall racer. if i can get that 302 to redline at 8500rpm or so, and put out about 400rwhp when im done, that would be sweet.

I will take that GSXR for $2500 if thats what you have in it. If of course something happens and the original owner doesnt take it back. Now that Scott has that R1 I would like to have another sport bike so I can keep up in the turns.

I thought they were about 3500lbs+ so I looked it up. Looks like the GT coupe weighs just shy of 3300lbs. Still pretty damn light. I was suprised. The V6 coupe weighs 3077.

I hope you get it!!!

it comes with an extra hatch because the original is getting rust around the keyhole and glass. engine was rebuilt with new eddlebrock carb, new clutch when engine was rebuilt. really nice old man. i can't wait to see it.

best part......he is asking $2,000.00

and as many of these mustangs (not the 5.0) bodies out there should be fairly easy to get parts for- don't know how easy to find parts for the engine though- pics aren't real clear but looks like a decent deal- i like this style if your gonna race it for some reason- good luck
