Say GoodBye to the 2010 GT

Well, today I said goodbye (although I don't actually pick up my new ride) to my 2010 Mustang GT. I still get to drive my old one until I take delivery of the vehicle. I am the proud new owner of a 2011 Mustang GT California Special. Unfortunately, it is in Henderson, NC and won't be delivered (due to the holiday) until, at the earliest, next Wednesday. I will miss the old 4.6L. She has been good to me. Now on to larger displacement and more fun. Don't have any pictures yet since I don't have it.

Bobby and I did some pulls on our way back from the track. I was pretty damn impressed how it takes off from the hit.

No the california special has a different front facia, wheels, spoiler, and a graffics package.

The only 5.0 with a blower is the GT350. The GT500 has a blower but its a 5.4L. With just a couple little mods the new 5.0 will give a 2010 and older GT500 all it can handle because it puts the power to the ground so much better.

Yea. I won't sleep for the next few days. Already pulled the intake and de-tuned the old one. My tuner will work on the new one. Saves me $400 for that piece. The intake is going to run me another $380. I am going to put my C&L on Ebay for $150 just to get something out of it. I had not seen a CS until I saw the pictures today. I actually love the way it looks. I can't wait!!

very cool! a buddy of mine has a 2011 CS 5.0 and that thing rocks. his is the dark burgundy red.

the new 5.0 is just a beast, all i can say. if you look at a roush stage 3 supercharcher kit makes the 5.0 reach 540hp!

I actually they have a kit that puts out 640HP now. I have been looking at options. Not sure when the charger will come into play though. For now..... I am thinking Steeda Cold Air Intake, Roush Cat Back exhaust, and the new BOSS intake. Those mods should give me some decent power to start.

lol, i think you'll find the increased hp of the 5.0 over the 4.6 will give you decent power to start. i forget which magazine, but they tested stock 5.0's with drag radials and they were pulling the driver side front wheel off the launch.
