PostSubject: Power Window switch issues- HELP!   Mon Jul 08, 2013 9:15 pm

Ok, electrical and wiring aren't really my strong point to begin with, but these windows are seriously pissing me off. At first, I started blowing the main 30amp power window fuse any time I hit the control for the passenger side window from the master switch... no big deal, buy an extra fuse and deal until I can get it fixed. Now, after a dumb moment, I hit the switch.. and popped fuse. Replaced as normal, now, neither master switch or passenger side window switch will work. As before, only the master didn't work. I took the door panels off, found the tan wire from the master switch had the casing cut open and was exposing the wire to the mounting plate for the door switches on the driver side. I repaired that section, and replaced the fuse (hoping to have found an easy fix), and plugged the master switch up and nothing. Driver window works no problem, and you can hit the master control switch for the passenger front and not blow the fuse any more, but nothing happening with either passenger window controls. I hate not being able to figure something out, when its probably something simple I should see or find easily. any help or suggestions would help

Any power making it to the switch?  Start checking for voltage at random spots along the path, or at least check for continuity.

I'd check the wire that leads from the driver to the passenger then.  I don't have a wiring diagram for your car, but does the passenger switch piggyback off the master or is it separate?
