| But yeah his reasoning is that I won't be competitive without a turbo | |

| competitive in what way? in the world of sport compacts where most have 4cyl also you would fair very well other than maybe k24 swapped civics which are 2.4's anyway so bad comparison... obviously a turbo will outperform n/a anyday but to say you cant do anything with the 2.0 n/a is a bold faced lie. | |

| if you think the 2.0 wont be good enough to be competitive in n/a form, you could always get a 2.4 engine and swap it. 2.4's have much better torque and hp, heck i could hit 200hp n/a easily with a 2.4. its all in what you know and how to use it. obviously an audi guy isnt going to know how to utilize a neon engine properly. | |

| True but he did have a talon which has a 420which is similar, we looked up the specs of both cars and the talon did a 1/4 in 16.5 et and the neon of my year had an et of 15.9 or something like that. My race time down the strip at waynesburg was awesome I raced a guy with an 01 neon r/t and somehow beat him on both passes by half a car length, those poor 00-01s with there 3spd autos | |

| yeah the 3spds really suck, i'm not sure how you beat an r/t though, he must've been a terrible driver lol. the 420a block is similar, and so is the manual trans, thats about it. the reverse flow heads on them are great for turbo's though. | |

| Well I did hold the brake and hold the rpm at 1500 when I launched but my buddy said I kept getting him with the top end | |

| ok there is a guy who is wanting to sell me a camshaft from an R/T neon and an SRT4 hood that has minor damage to it for 175$ for both items together would this be a good investment | |

| Which year mag cam? And depending on how bad the hood is damaged makes all the difference. I bought a mint stock srt hood for 200$, and magnum cams vary from 30-50$ depending on year | |

| Its a 2002 mag cam, he sold the hood unfortunately already but he said he would give me a good deal on the lower half of the r/t intake manifold and a manual shifter and clutch petal | |

| I'm also wondering if the neon R/T has a factory header instead of a manifold | |

| Yes the r/t came with a short tube header instead of the cast base one | |
