| What do you all know about it? looked pretty cool at the show on that black focus and that evo.
I am really considering doing all the chrome on the solstice in this since its removable. I would be doing door handles and wheels and pontiac trim on the front. I am thinking flat black in color, possibly even doing the entire car in flat black.
What do you all think? A flat black solstice rat rod look?

| Do it, flat black is awesome. I got done flat-blacking my whole car minus chrome trim literally 3 minutes ago. Looks better than expected, you should go for it. And if you are talking about the vinyl flat-blacking (never heard of plasti dip), I've only heard good things about it as well. | |

| I wouldn't. Part of the awesomeness of that car is how flashy it is with the chrome. I don't think it would work very well flat black. | |

| Definitely no. Looks good on some cars, I don't think your Solstice is one of them. | |

agreed your car is awesome... i wouldn't flat black it or anything like that... you car is all about the shine... if it was a car that needed a paint job, I would recommend doing it, but not now....

| Gonna have to go with everyone else....don't do it....leave it shiny! I like the matte look but.....only on certain vehicles. | |

| I could see flat black trim, maybe the wheels too, but certainly not the paint.... unless you do a V8 swap, throw in a 4-speed and have a skull on the shifter. But I don't think it's got a rat rod look lol | |

I think of flat black cars the same way. To me they tell me, "Dont mess with this car, it doesnt need to be pretty because it is retarded fast".

| If you had the stock wheels and you wanted to plasti dip them and put them on to see how they looked, maybe... but on those beautiful chrome wheels... i'd say no now the trim pieces might be okay... | |

| OK after all those videos I have determined that this stuff is one of the coolest ways to paint something that I have ever seen. | |

| I'f it wouldn't hurt anything 100% then it wouldn't hurt besides what you pay for it... I would just have this feeling that it was scratch taking it off etc.... but I have no patience and would begin screwing it up b/c of it... whatever you decide, I know you'll make it look nice | |

| I dont want anything permanent. I was just thinking temp for a while. I am probably going to do all chome flat black just for a stealth look for a while. I would never paint this stuff if it was permanent. Did you guys watch the videos? | |
