Has anyone ever tried their hand at getting sponsorship for their car? I was just kinda curious about the process and what went into it. I don't really know if it would be for me or not, but I've heard of people having success with it. One that I know of used [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and has had good experiences that way..., but just wanted to hear what you all had to think of that.

I was going to try that site...just wasn't sure 100% how they worked. They hounded me for weeks trying to get me to finish the application process. Usually my luck, I would only get crappy items from them! I forget what they charged for processing fee but I don't think it was much.

The guy that built my car tried to get Texas Speed to sponsor my car since I am running their cam. They showed no interest. I think you gotta be at the top of the game if you expect to get anything worthwhile.

i looked into this with my last camaro... the one i looked at was $125 or $150 to get started and nothing is guranteed. The site I was on gave choices to what you would want done- body kit, engine, etc...

Good read Cam. I figured to get anything worthwhile your car will need to be set apart from others and get plenty of publicity. My freind Bruce just broke the stock ZR1 1/4 mile record. They wrote articles about him and his car is pretty visible. He just traded the ZR1 for a Z06 and is going for the same record I am. Unfortunatly he has the upper hand since he is more likely to get sponsors.
