| the thing i think is incredible, did you notice it took him 1/2 a mile to get to 204mph? but it took him another 1/2 to get the other 50mph? just goes to show what kind of force the drag has | |

When you are going 204mph that second half mile is alot shorter than the first half. Drag has to do with it but thats not the main reason why he only trapped 50mph on the second half. Because you already have that huge amount of speed built up, the amount of time is much less than what it took him on the first 1/2. So less time also means less mph. Same theory in the 1/4. The first 1/8th mile takes more time and will have more mph than the last 1/8th. In my car the 1st 1/8 takes 6.5 sec @ 108mph. The second 1/8 takes 3.6 sec and I only pick up 29mph. | |
