PostSubject: Suspension Grease Question   Suspension Grease Question I_icon_minitimeSat Mar 10, 2012 12:47 am

I need to get under the front of my car and grease ball joints and etc. what I am wondering is, can I mix a synthetic suspension grease with the petroleum grease that was used by my mechanic? I really don't want to pay $30 for a new grease gun or waste the tube of grease I bought to lube the poly bushings in my rear control arms. What do you guys think?

Honestly, I don't think its going to really hurt. Just as long as they get lubed. Ball joints, tie rods... ect take enough abuse every time you drive, let alone if they're dry. Its not like your mixing engine, tranny or diff oils. As long as the chassis stays lubed, it will help with premature wear.

Ok. Thanks, Aaron. I just wasn't sure if they would react badly to each other.
