The last Crown Victoria rolled off the assembly line at the Saint Thomas Assembly Plant in Canada today. The last Mercury Grand Marquis was completed a few months ago, the last Lincoln Town Car was a few weeks ago, and now the Crown Victoria is done.

Farewell to the last Body-On-Frame fullsize sedan. The days of buying a sedan that matched the durability of a truck are over.

Yeah, it really is a shame. Ford not putting any money into upgrades for the platform since 2003, coupled with the current car not meeting increased safety and fuel economy standards for 2012 killed it. It's the end of an era. This was the last car that was almost a direct link to cars from the 1950's-1960's. As I see it, this was the last real traditional American car.

Ya know, some 30-40 years on down the road, that'll be a couple hundred thousand dollar car at a Barrett-Jackson auction if it's first owner realizes how special it is...

Hopefully the guy in Saudi Arabia realizes what it is. He/she should. All of the workers signed the body and frame. All you have to do it pop the hood or trunk to see some of them, haha.

Sentimentality takes the back seat to money, unfortunatley. Even though it is only 1 car.
