| So i wanted to check to see what you all thought about throttle body spacers. I hear good things about them and the way the work is pretty simple. Im considering getting a cold air intake and a t-body spacer for the F150, any help in mpg is worth $40 imo.
What do you think? opinions? experience?
thank ya | |

| I have heard good things about them and bad. Most folks say they aren't worth the money simply because they don't really help much. Then the flip side is I hear people swearing by them. I personally have never used one. Thought about one but after seeing all the negative reviews, decided against it. Just my 2 cents! | |

| thanks, and that's all im looking for is someone's $0.02. i too have heard ppl say they aren't worth it, and then again i helped my roommate install one on his jeep and he noticed an instant bump in mpg on the highway and his engine idled a few rpms lower.
its also strange when you have ones for $40 and ones for $114. and i figure for that price they better do something lol

| Ive never researched them. How do they increase airflow or how do they improve mpg/power? Showing how much I know about them.......they do go inbetween the TB and the mani right? | |

you got it. from what i have read, they change the airflow and increase the distance between the throttle body so that there is a better air movement. here are a couple pics i pulled off google to show what one does and where its placed (pic is showing one installed on a jeep) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| Hey Tyler,
I have one in my truck and it increased my mph by 3 miles to the gallon and the throttle response increased and I my idol dropped a little. Also it makes a vortex air flow so it combines better with fuel. But all that said since I put those big A$$ tires on my truck gas mileage kinda went out the window but the other stuff still holds true for me. There is my 3 cents worth...
