Well, I have decided to put my funds in another direction. I plan to build my F150 into an Expedition truck. Nobody around has one, and I think it would be a neat way to go with my build. I have alot in mind for the build, and you can follow me in this thread to see what I have done so far to the truck.
For sleeping quarters, I plan on buying a Flippac AT so my living quarters are self contained and I do not need to bring along a camper on the expeditions. I have come to find out I love road trips, and this would be a beast of a long cross country road trips/expeditions vehicle once completed. If I never use it for that, at least it would look cool. Once completed I will probably bring it to shows also just to show it off, because nobody around here will probably have ever seen what I got in mind.
Here is a little video showing you how long it takes to set up "Camp" with a AT flippack. Keep in mind the mattress is already inside the tent. You enter the tent from the bed of the pickup truck. This thing will cost around 6000.00 with all the accessories I want preinstalled on it. The reason I like it better than a camper trailer, is because I can take it anywhere off road, and I can also sleep up high away from animals etc..
I have to say that is pretty amazing. I like that idea! I think I have to agree..... If I was going to camp or do anything like that, I would want this instead of packing a tent. This thing keeps you off the ground and looks pretty roomy.

Installed 3 more power outlets the other night for my gadgets and installed two 200,000 candle power KC lights. THey came with a 23 year warranty too.
Tonight, me and my neighbor Paul installed a laptop mount for the expeditions to have more control over GPS software and run the TOPO maps when offroading. Here is the build process of that.
You can see the power caddy on the top, and then the screen holder on the right. This is to keep the screen from flopping around while driving offroad.
Mounted the CB hook on there too. The CB is bluetooth also, it pairs to your phone, and then when you get a call, it turns the cb off, and pairs to the phone using the cb speaker to hear, but then you key the mike to talk just like you would on a cb when using the phone. Pretty cool.

That would be nice to have for sure! I'm thinking about getting into rally. Going to an event this weekend at snowshoe to check it out. I need a DD though in case something happens.

He is talking offroad Rally, not the kind Rally North America does.

I know, Rally North America should be in the same affiliation with N.A.S.A. with the type of racing like Travis Pastrana, Ken Block, all those guys who race in rally within the US. I was considering getting a ford focus and entering the beginner FWD division, thats where i got all my info from was Rally North America. You have to get your roll cage inspected by a specific vendor, your seats and harnesses must be approved, suspension and helmets.
