PostSubject: Distance to Empty. What do you get?   Wed Jul 20, 2011 11:01 pm

My new jeep gets around 23 mpg on the highway and 545 miles to empty if your doing all interstate driving.

What do you get? how is your car comparing to this? better? worse? My truck gets around 21, and the solstice gets around 38mpg.

Mine gets in the 23s wherever I take it it seems lol. Though the last fill up was kinda bad..only 21.4, but that was more local running aka no Morgantown trips lol..plus there was some A/C use too so that probably didn't help matters. I can get 300-320 miles out of a tank. Hit 320 only once or twice cause once that fuel light is on my butt is sitting at a gas station [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Around town I get about 260-270 till empty. On the interstate I get 375-380. Could be better but I didn't buy the car for gas mileage!

On the Carlisle trip I hit close to the 425 mark on the G5. I had just under an 1/8 of a tank when I filled up before we got all the way home. According to GM 13.1 gal tank... just about 32 mpg even with all the hill climbs on the way out of WV and in MD

My Beetle will get 30 mpg highway and about 20 in town. It could use a tune up. The 10 gallon gas tank doesn't give it much range, though. The Crown Victoria will see 20 mpg mixed city/highway and that will give me about 320 miles before the low fuel light comes on. I have no idea what it will do pure highway. I've usually been hauling people and things during its highway trips so it doesn't do too well.

well the terrain started out getting a little over 26mpg but it was pretty much all highway driving... now that we are settled down into our daily routine with it, we are getting about 23mpg but when i drive it i can get over 24... AWD 4cyl... i'm not sure how many miles we can put on it though... never let it get down below a quarter....-heading to beckley tomorrow in it, so I'll check everything out then...

the camaro (V8 with AFM)has varies... i've gotten everything from 19mpg-27mpg... usually about 23-24 with combined driving as well....

my 2009 GMC 2500HD (V8 6.0) gets about 12mpg and it usually costs me about $120 every 2 days... not sure how many miles but a good bit....

Oh God, I'll lose this one. :llooll:

'67 'Cuda, C12 leaded race gas, .5mpg, can make 3 passes before refueling.

'68 Fury, best it's ever got was 25mpg on 87 octane, theoretically can go 650 miles.

'70 'Cuda, it can get 13mpg, needs either leaded or 93 octane. theoretically can go 240 miles. We tend to stop for fuel when it hits 120 miles :hammer1:

'86 Chevy, can get 15mpg on high grade gas, range of 570 miles. We put a second tank on it, If I remember right it has 38 gallons available.

'89 Mustang, got 33mpg on an all interstate trip (2.73 gears) with 87 octane. range: 500 miles

'91 F250, 7-15 mpg, averages 10mpg. Range: 220-480. 7-10mpg on 87 octane or 15mpg with 91-93 octane.

'93 Mustang, averages 19mpg on 87, 290 miles.

'01 F350, averages 18mpg, range: 680 miles.

'05 Saleen, just filled it up, all off interstate miles but still got 24mpg on 87 octane, 385 miles.

well we did 25.3 mpg down and back and with the mountains we hit, we loved to see that figure... when we had it on the estimated avg. that keeps chaning on the hill it stayed right on 8 trying to pull it... but we had the eco button on as well... and we should get around 400 miles to a tank... sitting at half a tank on the way home and it had 230miles on it...

1994 Jeep 2.5L YJ, i've done a few mpg mods and its getting real good
mileage around town, not sure yet but i'll figure it out soon

1991 Mustang 5.0 3:73 ring and pinion, i get about 23-25 on highway, 14-16 in town

1993 F150 5.8L/351W.....my gas toilet. i get maybe 14mpg highway and about 8 around town. i was stuck in traffic once and literally used a quarter tank. I have two 15 gallon tanks, but since my spare tire is out from under my rear tank and in the bed, im going to remove the factory rear tank and replace it with the 32 gallon tank that came in the broncos. so i'll have one 32 gallon tank and one 15 gallon tank lol

I feel your pain with the 5.8L, I too have dual tanks. I've been considering a 460 swap for awhile. A small block is just to small lol

lol, i wanted to do a swap. but since the 5.8L and the 5.0 share so much in common, i was gonna get the lighting lower intake, and see what i could do to fit a kennebell under the hood of my f150 lol.
