| This is crazy. I'm in the market for a new hatchback and there are none to be found. I was leaning toward the Yaris when the Fiesta came out. 120hp vs 106 and better gas mileage. Win, win. The problem is that they can't find a base hatchback. Then the 2012 Hyundai Accent came out with 138hp and even better gas mileage. I'm liking this trend. I talk to their internet guy and make an appointment to take the Corolla in. Guess what, there are no hatchbacks in the system anywhere. I've got money to spend and nobody wants it :mad1: Oh well, I'm in no hurry. I'm still liking the Accent. As well as class leading hp and mpg, it has a 6 speed manual and 4 wheel disc brakes. That is if you can find a manual. Wimpy Americans and their auto trannys. | |

| yea, i like the crz as well, but if you wait a little long you'll be able to buy the sport model that isn't a hybrid.... there's the Mazda 2 as well, but its based a lot on the fiesta | |

| I checked into the Mazda 2. They took a Fiesta and ruined it. Same body with a 100hp Mazda motor and a crappy transmission. Less hp and mpg.
I was behind one of those Hondas the other day. They do look nice.

| I'm will be looking soon for the same type of vehicle. I want something that gets 40mpg and a manual transmision. I'm just not a hatchback type of guy so I have been leaning towards the hyundai elantra. My buddy got one and loves it. I dont want to buy new so I am waiting till more become availible at the manheim actions and the prices fall. | |

| Sedans are easy to find. They have a 6 speed in the showroom. I drove one and Hyundai has come a long way in improving their cars. The 2012s are a big improvement over the 2011s.
This Fall, two more small cars are coming, the Chevy Sonic and the Fiat 500. Things should get interesting then.
