Couple videos of my 5.0 at Summit Point

This is the Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point... did 2 30 min sessions on the track. The 5.0 didn't do bad at all, didn't have to give anyone a pass on either time out :) With the few mods I have done it was very balanced, only thing I can see changing before I go again is some better tires. The stock Pirellis became greasy after they got hot.

Looked like some nice runs. I was very surprised how well the stock Pirellis work on these cars. They get pretty good traction for being OEM.

Whats it cost to run there, / requirements? I would like to get the wife into this.

Since this was going on in conjunction with Hyperfest it was only $40 a session.

An all day even like FATT (Friday at the track) is a few hundred, I believe. But it is more involved. I'm doing one either in August or September.

Requirements are just a well maintained vehicle. Although if you are running the car very hard and doing this for long periods I would suggest investing in cooling mods. Differential/Brake/Oil temps go through the roof.

I just got a Boss 302 aluminum finned diff. cover and oil cooler. I didn't have a problem with the Brembos fading so I'm not going to worry about cooling ducts yet. It wont be hard to toss a set on anyway since they hook right up to my lower fascia foglamp holes.

My differential got so hot it puked a decent amount of fluid out the vent from the gear oil expanding.

Perhaps this may be something you want to get site participation from? I will help with creating a flyer and getting it posted on here if your going to "Run the show" for FCP. Just keep this drama free, respectful and make sure it does not conflict with other events. Its not right to make people that want to do both have to choose an event when both are held by FCP.

I'm all for helping you though get this started. I would track run the solstice where speed (drag racing) is not involved.
