Hahn RaceCraft’s Solstice takes Ecotec engine performance to the next level, showcasing this capable engine series in a serious performance roadster.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This car was the first Solstice to run the ¼ mile in the 14, 13, and 12 second zones on its stock 2.4 liter Ecotec. It’s romancing the 11 second zone as we speak, with a best ET to date of 12.00 seconds at 117 MPH on street tires!
Special thanks to General Motors and Rick Bottom Custom Motorsports!
The car is built from the ground up to run as well as it looks. The two-tone paint, expertly applied by Rick Bottom Custom Motorsports, accentuates the lowered stance. Huge brake upgrades at all four corners make sure the whoa is as ample as the go. The 19 x 8 inch wheels and the Dunlop SP9000 street radials keep things on track during spirited cornering, perfectly augmenting the upgraded coil-over shocks. The slightly narrowed front track makes for a subtly aggressive staggered stance.
The spent unleaded fuel makes its way through a high-flow catalytic converter on its way to a 2.5” stainless steel exhaust system. Power flow is handled by a heavy-duty clutch.
The centerpiece of this mouse that roars is its engine compartment. As an ongoing test bed for Bill Hahn’s considerable Ecotec turbocharging prowess, the car has been fed a steady diet of boosted steroids. Development of higher-powered iterations of the Hahn Solstice turbosystem occurs here, and as much as 380 wheel horsepower has been achieved on the stock VVT 2.4L engine!
