When is fast, FAST?

Talking about this with a co-worker today.

I remember when I worked at my uncles car lot when I was 15 and got to drive a 5-speed Chevy Beretta. I thought it was so fast. Then when I turned 16 I got to drive all kinds of cars from the lot. This was in the late '90's but I remember they got a newer eclipse in. I thought it was so fast. Then they let me have a BMW 328i vert for a weekend. I thought it was so fast. Then we got a 4.6 mustang in. I though it was so fast.

Then in college I got a GSXR 600. I thought it was fast. Then I took out my buddies GSXR 1000. I though it was fast.

Then I bought my first corvette. It was a C5 with the LS1. I thought it was so fast for a car. Then went through about 10 sportbikes. I thought they were all fast. Then my C6 with an LS2. I thought it was fast. Then a stock Z06. I thought it was fast. Then I cammed it. I thought it was fast but now I want a little more power already.


So when does it end?

I will admit the only thing I will always consider to be fast no matter what the future brings is my buddys Repsol that he recently sold. It had ALOT of work done to it. I was fighting the front end at 130mph. I was literally shaking when I brought the bike back.

Anything over 70 is fast. And anything over 15 in a school zone is fast.

anything that has 200hp or close to it is fast to me lol i never had anything above 160hp

One word... Busa.. Get it, turbo it, be done.. As for the car well keep it..

When we are riding in the car and I have to keep not so subtly looking over at the speedometer until he gets the hint to slow down. That's Fast,lol.

115 in a 55 is plenty fast enough to get a ticket and suspended lic. Taylor Co sheriffs have no sense of humor! :copper:

Aaron did. And wives don't have a sense of humor about those kind of tickets either! He was in the neon with the big wing,lol.

i had my cbr @ 177in Mexico and that was fast

I had a gsxr in the 170's and didnt have a Fulmer helmet on. Air started getting into it and trying to toss my head around.

So today was the first time I drove a new camaro. 2010 SS 6-speed.

The car definitly has potential but the weight of the car really kills the LS3. The shifter has a really short throw that I love. The only thing I really didnt like was the limited view though the front windshield.

sucks ass trying to back them as well... horrible viewing all around, but i still love'em- lol

8 second capable cars are way too fast for the street, but too fast period? No way... I'll take you for a ride in the 2g when it's back together and let you be the judge.

my best 0-60 was 4.3 seconds in my LGT with the launch control, and i topped it out at 166mph on the istate one night. my best 1/8th drag was 8.8 but that was when it was stock.... damn i miss that car :(

also got 1st place in autocross for my class last season! didnt run this season..
