| I am building a Theater in my uncle's basement and I have ordered all the video equipment but need help on audio.
He lives in a 5500 sq ft house so his basement is very large. I dont think a 5.1 will be enough so I need a 7.1.
The ideal system will be a 1000w+ hometheater in a box. They will need 3 or 4 HDMI inputs. I hear good things about Yamaha and Onkyo.

| it really depends on what kind of sound he is looking for, i have a decent amount of home audio experience i would go with yamaha or denon they are the best imo. now for speakers id prob go with cerwin vega or polk for the speakers and then a basic velodyne and i say basic because they are still about 500 for a powered 10 but well worth the price. if you have any questions feel free to ask man. not sure if u remember me but i was the guy with the liberty at rhodeheavers. |

I finished this theater up a month or so ago. I need to post some pics up. It turned out good. I got a good deal on an Onkyo 7.1 so I jumped on it. I probably wont go that route again. The sub sucks. I am going to start the theater build in my basement so I will hit you up when we start. Yea I remember you.....black liberty with duel and stickers on the back window?? | |

| I like bose, but its not as good as Cerwin Vega and Klipsch Those two brands sound awesome for home theater, but they do cost alot more is probably why. | |

| I have Polk speakers with a Pioneer receiver and a Yamaha powered sub, it sounds pretty damn awesome. I have a Cerwin Vega center channel speaker that was with the last system if anyone wants a nice one | |
