I just cammed my LS7 a couple months ago. I am no cam expert so I hate to give you any wrong advise.
I can give some advise on drivability though. Watch how big you go with a cam, expecially if its your everyday driver. I chose a mild cam that picked me up 90RWHP with LT's, high flow cats, and ram air intake. Drivability is fine but I do have some surging around 1300-1500RMP's. Pretty easy to control with a manual but if you have an auto I would not suggest a big cam.
Would I do it again? Absolutly.
Would I go bigger if I could? Probably not.
Do you have headers already? Headers are critical for a cam......at least for LS engines. There are some guys on here that might give more insight on cams or you can call Rhodenhevers in Uniontown, PA. He is a big pony guy.
